We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits this website, https://drdua.com (the "Site"), and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a manner consistent with our obligations and your rights under the law.

Please read this Policy carefully to ensure you understand it. Your continued use of the Site is deemed to be your acceptance of this Policy. If you do not accept or agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

In this Policy, the following terms have the following meanings:

"Cookie" means a small text file placed on your computer or device by the Site when you visit certain parts of it, and/or when you use certain features of the Site. Details of the cookies used by the Site are set out in Section 6, below.

"Personal data" means any and all data that relates to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified from that data. In this case, it means personal data that you give to us via the Site. This definition incorporates, where applicable, the definitions from the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

"We/Us/Our" means Dr Lavanya Dua, operating this Site.

3. What Does This Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of the Site. The Site may contain links to other websites (including our third-party booking provider, Calendly, and retailers such as Amazon). Please note that we have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites, and we advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing your data to them.

  6. The right to data portability (obtaining a copy of your personal data to reuse with another service or organisation).
  7. The right to object to us using your personal data for particular purposes.
  8. Rights with respect to automated decision-making and profiling.

If you have any cause for complaint about our use of your personal data, please contact us using the details in Section 12 and we will do our best to resolve the issue for you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
